Monogram Plaque

Hi again. It's been a while since I created a project for Bitten By The Bug2. Finally feel like I'm  getting back into the swing of things. This week's challenge is Donna's choice, and she asked to use any cartridge with a monogram. I chose the Sophisticated cartridge for the letter, and Lacy Labels for the background. The scallop frame was cut from pale yellow cardstock and blue polka dot cardstock at 9 inches. I inked the edges with blue ink. I cut the inner frame from dark gray cardstock. The letter is cut from Sophisticated was cut at 6 inches from pale yellow cardstock with a dark gray cardstock shadow. The letter was spritzed with gold Glimmer Mist to add a little pizazz.  The letter was attached to the frame with foam dots. I embellished the scallops with rhinestones and the frame is embellished with white flowers, foil flowers and rhinestones. Please check out the other designers' projects at BBTB2 to see some fabulous creations!  Have a great week!

Baby Bench

This is a little bench I made for a friend's daughter on her first birthday. I painted the bench yellow, edged the top with purple, stamped purple swirls along the top, then accented the base with purple splatter paint. I dry brushed pink in each area where the images would go. I decoupaged all the butterflies/dragonflies. The words are foam stamps that I double stamped, first with pink paint, then with periwinkle paint. I added the letter stickers and glitter bubbles; and I hand wrote my message on the bottom of the bench. I then sealed it all with several coats of decoupage sealer.  I think it's the perfect size for a one year old.  It can be a bench, a stepstool, or even a little table for tea parties! I hope it is something she will keep for a long time.  :)
