BBTB Challenge

Valentine's Day is just around the corner.....or as my friend in Miami calls it "Singles Awareness Day". TEEHEE That cracks me up! This project was the latest challenge for Bitten By The Bug. We had to use the heart bag, and I turned mine into a "Love" garland. I used glittered cardstock that is white on the back, but I colored it with pink ink to match the letters. I used some Crafty Secrets images and stickers, Prima flowers, ribbons, buttons and teeny
tiny cupid punches. Hope you like!

Here is a card I did for a cut/emboss swap. It is on its way to the Netherlands as I speak. Hopefully it will have a safe journey! :) I received a template in a Christmas card from a girl who creates cutting/embossing templates and used that for the embossing on the pink cardstock. I attached the polka dot paper to the back of it then did a cross cut and folded the cuts back to reveal the polka dots and the embossed white cardstock underneath. The card itself is a pale pink as well. I added Stickles to the paper flowers and to the edge of the flaps, and white brads to hold the flaps in place. Aren't the lovebirds cute?

New BBTB Challenge

The latest Bitten By The Bug Challenge was to use the poodle cut. This is really a fun image. I added little ice skates to my girl and a scarf around her neck. Lots of sparkly snow flakes too. I embossed the "celebrate winter". Here's that snowflake paper again (I do love it). That may be the last of it. Do yourself a favor and check out the other designer's projects. You'll be glad you did, they are awesome!

I'm here watching "Family Guy" (one of our favorite shows) all by my lonesome since my hub is travelling. It's too boring without him here, especially watching FG. It's just not the same. Can't wait til he gets back. LeeeeeeeeeroooooyJjjenkins. He'd understand...

Have a great week!

Holidays Are Over...

So the holidays are over. I hope Christmas was wonderful for everyone, or whichever holiday you choose to celebrate. We had a good one. Just the two of us. We actually cooked on Christmas Day! That in itself is a Christmas miracle. hahaha We had a Christmas party the Friday before Christmas, and it was so fun. Friends and neighbors, and even my brother made it here (we don't have any family here). We ate, drank, laughed, and karaoke'd like fools. I got strep throat again so my week off was pretty much spent lying around. The following weekend we went to visit my hub's family. That was nice. It's good to see everybody together. We are still waiting to have a celebration with my family, since they couldn't make it down the scheduled weekend due to a nor'easter snowstorm. Grrrrr.... I was so sad. But they will try and make it here this month. New Year's Eve day we went to the casino and did pretty good, but we stayed in that evening since I still wasn't feeling well. I made my list of Resolutions, and they aren't anything that I can't attain. I've been good so far, but it's only been a week! This is the first year I've made resolutions. One of them is to scrap a page a week. Doesn't seem too daunting, right? I neglect my scrapbooking, and usually only do it when I go to a crop (maybe like twice a year!), so I'd really like to stick to this. I did my first page of '08 this week and it felt great!

This card I made for my brother's girlfriend for her birthday. She loves hippos and I think this little guy turned out pretty cute. She called to tell me she loved the card. Yay! I'm so glad I can bring a smile to someone's face with just some paper, glue, and glitter. hahaha
Happy New Year!
