Hello Sunshine!

If you haven't guessed, "Hello Sunshine" was the theme for my friend's birthday. I greet here every morning with that phrase, so this year I wanted to make something special and meaningful. I made her a layered card, a wooden wall decoration, a frame, and a matted Friendship poem. I just love that lady!

Miles of Smiles,

Valentines at Our House

Here is the house decorated for Valentine's Day. I made quite a few things this year to add to the decorations, many using the Cricut. Such as the February 14 sign over the piano, the LOVE banner on the fireplace, all the hearts on the walls, light covers for the garland, candle wrap, chalkboard, and gold "love" word. The "love" print in the frame on the piano was an online freebie that I added gold foil hearts to and it looks super cute! The tiny white and gold plates were a splurge and I love them so much. The white branch Valentine tree has hearts that I decorated last year, and a peacock. Oh, and the glitter lovebirds print was found at Dollar Tree. Yup! Hope you all had a fabulous Valentine's Day weekend! I did!

Miles of Smiles,

Valentines for Co-workers

I made a bunch of these simple Valentines for my co-workers. I embossed red cardstock with a heart cut out, layered it over a patterned paper with romantic words, cut out the word love from a shimmery white cardstock, cut a small heart that I layered with a foam dot and a rhinestone on top.  I enjoy giving cards and goodies to my co-workers for many holidays. They are always appreciative.

Miles of Smiles,

Valentine

Here is the Valentine I made for my hub. It is an awesome Cricut cut that I layered with foam tape for dimension. I added an extra layer of cloud patterned paper, and rhinestones across the top. The outfits are cut from glittery paper, and the umbrella from a patterned cardstock. Their hair is cut from white cardstock that I colored with ink pads. Isn't this just the cutest? I packed it away with our Valentine decorations so we can enjoy it each year.

Miles of Smiles,

Birthday Card for Godmother

I made this card for my aunt/godmother. Her name is Rose, so I like to make cards for her with roses on them. White card base, black and white patterned paper backed with black cardstock, loopy frame, and digital image that I hand colored and added the gold bow to. I cut around the bud to overlap the frame. Yellow rhinestones in each corner. I think yellow roses are so lovely and happy. I don't think I'm very good at hand coloring, but this is not bad.

Happy February!
