With Deepest Sympathy

Once again I had to make a sympathy card. It seems like I've made so many this year. So many people trying to traverse through the briar patch of grief. My heart is heavy for them. There have been so many days of sad news, others sharing their stories of challenges, grief, and sadness. We need some sunshine to brighten the mood here. Sometimes it seems like there are not enough hours in a day to say all the prayers that need to be said.

This card especially holds a lot of sorrow. My dear friend lost her husband. After 40 years. I cannot imagine that. Any of it. I'm sure the sympathy I feel is but a speck of the pain she is feeling. How does anyone ever see the sunshine again after that?  But I know she will. In time. With patience, family, and friends.

I used an Anna Griffin design cut in Design Space on the Cricut. I shrunk the top cream layer so you could still see the silver paper beneath. The patterned paper, sentiment, and flowers are also Anna Griffin. I added green pearls to the corners and outlined the flower petals with a glitter pen.

Miles of Smiles,
