Good Luck Card

Check out this card I made for my FIL. The template was from svgcuts.com and it also folds flat for mailing like my Easter cards in the previous post. Since it was a good luck card for a guy, I didn't want to make it too girly. I love the traditional plaid paper and the gold glitter paper on the front. I am totally loving these box cards. This could easily become an addiction.

Easter Cards 2016

Here are the Easter cards I made. I got the pattern from svgcuts.com and I had a lot of fun picking the papers to cut them on my Cricut and assemble. It really is a card! It folds flat to mail and everything. It pops open to reveal an Easter egg shadow box/diorama. I added a couple pics so you could see it from the side. I love these! And my family was so impressed. Super stinkin cute!

Happy Birthday, Brother!

I made this for my brother's birthday today! I found the image of the truck and colored it with pencils. I gave it a little rust here and there, and a birthday present in the bed of the truck. The papers are Graphic 45, and the gear die cuts are Tim Holtz cut from black glitter paper. I added a strip of brown burlap, and silver washi tape embossed with the sentiment. I rubbed black ink over the silver tape. The final touch was the metal gears and brads. I think this is probably one of my better "guy" cards. Happy Birthday, brother!

Miles of Smiles,

Birthday Cards for Co Workers

We celebrated Spring birthdays for the people at work last week.  I try to make cards for all of them. This is the design I created using the Cricut and Cuttlebug. I started with a white card base, and a gray embossed background.  I cut the bird, banners, and yellow circle on the Cricut. I used a pen in the Cricut to write the sentiment. I added a party hat glitter sticker to each bird. All 8 cards had different hats. I wanted to make something happy, fun, and springy, and I think this accomplished that.

I'm super excited for Spring Break next week. It will be nice to have a week all to myself, to go wherever the breeze takes me!

Thanksgiving Card 2015

This was the Thanksgiving card I made last year. Again, I forgot to post it. I cut the off white linen cardstock on the Cricut then embellished with colored pencils and gold glitter, then backed the image with black cardstock. Living in Florida I don't see much fall foliage anymore, so I was happy to live in this forest if only in my mind.

Butterfly Frame

I also made this for my friend to match the card in the previous post. It's a frame, or scrapbook layout, or wall hanging, or whatever you want it to be. We all signed it to wish her well and encourage her. The butterflies are double layered and 3D mounted to a glittery butterfly print cardstock. It was all cut on the Cricut.

Miles of Smiles,

Butterfly Card

This card was made for a co-worker dealing with an illness. I always think butterflies are so cheerful and hopeful, and also very serene. All things I wish for my friend.
