Another weekend gone by....which means it's Monday and time for another BBTB2 Challenge! This week's challenge is to use a ladybug or a bumble bee on a project. I made a card using the ladybug cut from the Paisley cartridge. I started with a black card base and added a green patterned paper from Fancy Pants Designs for the background. I distressed the edges of the patterned paper and inked it black. I then layered black mesh, cut outs, border punched edges, flowers and rhinestones. The translucent letters are from KI Memories. I folded a large pink flower and used that in the bottom corner. I also bent
up the ladybug's legs and antennae for dimension. Check out the other cute creations at BBTB2!

Fussy Layout
Here is my first attempt at a "fussy" scrapbook layout. I love the look of that style of page, but I never really tried it myself. I distressed the heck out of the background paper: spritzing it with water, inking it, crinkling, ripping, tearing, rolling. It has been thoroughly abused, as I like to say! I made all the flowers, then highlighted them with silver Stickles. I used various decorative tapes, stickers, a chipboard coaster, sheer ribbon, and Candi dots (from the UK). The photo was taken in the fall in Savannah, at Bonaventure Cemetary.

Birthday Balloons
Hi! Happy Monday! It's that time for another Bitten By the Bug Challenge. This week's challenge was to create a birthday card featuring balloons. I created my card using a fun polka dot background paper overlapped by a cloud grid paper. I tore a strip of green cardstock for the "grass" at the bottom. The girl and the balloons are cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. I gave the girl a cute plaid dress and matching headband with brown heels. The balloons are cut from glittery orange cardstock and attached with foam dots. I attached baker's twine to all the balloons and tied them together. I let them fly off the edge of the card like they are flying away! I think this accomplished a sense of movement. I laid down a strip of glue and sprinkled blue and purple glitter flowers to the very bottom of the card. I attached a punch out to the twine and the happy birthday sentiment with foam dots. When I first began creating the card, I used a totally different background paper in place of the cloud paper. The colors were great, but it was too busy. I'm glad I changed it out and used the cloud paper. I totally wish I had a cute plaid dress like hers too! LOL Check out the other designers' creations and play along at BBTB2! Have a lovely spring week!

Easter Cards
I only created a few Easter Cards for this year. I sent them to our closest family members. I like to send cards to all our family, but I just did not have enough time or inspiration this year. All are created using Gecko Galz images, which are so pretty. I love using Gecko Galz images. Happy Easter. Happy Spring. Happy, happy everything!
