How cute are these felt and fabric birds?! They are 3D stickers I picked up specifically to make my mom a birthday card. I started with a white card base, sponged some blue ink on the background, then embossed it with the damask-ish pattern. I used a bird washi tape to border the top of the card. I layered vellum leaves, felt flowers, paper flowers, and gold glittery swirls cut from my Cricut. I think it is a very happy card perfect to wish mom a happy birthday.
For the sister of my heart. I made her a friendship book filled with quotes, pictures, and photos of us. I then made myself a scrapbook layout using the photos of us. So many memories in such a few short years. Love that girl! Miles of Smiles,
A little birdie card to say "Thinking of You". The papers are Kan Ban. I like them because they have foil on them. This was a quick card I put together to send to a friend who moved. The felt bird is too cute!
This set of cards was made for fellow employees at work. We celebrated summer birthdays all at one time, so I made each of them a card. We used to celebrate for each semester, Fall, Spring, and Summer, but we haven't been able to do that for a while. I do hope it happens more! I made the card base by cutting a 12x12 sheet of polka-dot cardstock into a scallop circle, then cut that in half, then folded each half in half. So one sheet of cardstock gave me 2 scalloped cards. (I hope that makes sense.) I layered a blue scallop circle and a birthday patterned scallop circle. A smaller pink patterned scallop circle was topped with a 3D cupcake sticker. I tied a sheer pink ribbon around the front and pop dotted some circles and the sentiment to complete the ensemble. I guess it's good the birthdays were for ladies, cuz this is definitely a girly card! lol
How about a couple of Father's Day cards? One for my dad, and one for the hub's dad. I covered a white card base with blueprint paper (why? blueprints have nothing to do with hot air balloons, but I liked the color, and it seemed manly, that's why!) I added a strip of brown patterned paper and multi-striped paper. A bright green cardstock was embossed and backed with white cardstock. I cut out a blue scallop circle and backed it with white, topping it with the hot air balloon stickers and clouds. I embossed a strip of brown patterned cardstock with a ruler design and added a tag that reads Happy Father's Day. I loved the hot air balloon stickers. I had to buy them and I'm glad I got to use them for the dads cards. Miles of Smiles,
