Work Birthdays
This set of cards was made for fellow employees at work. We celebrated summer birthdays all at one time, so I made each of them a card. We used to celebrate for each semester, Fall, Spring, and Summer, but we haven't been able to do that for a while. I do hope it happens more! I made the card base by cutting a 12x12 sheet of polka-dot cardstock into a scallop circle, then cut that in half, then folded each half in half. So one sheet of cardstock gave me 2 scalloped cards. (I hope that makes sense.) I layered a blue scallop circle and a birthday patterned scallop circle. A smaller pink patterned scallop circle was topped with a 3D cupcake sticker. I tied a sheer pink ribbon around the front and pop dotted some circles and the sentiment to complete the ensemble. I guess it's good the birthdays were for ladies, cuz this is definitely a girly card! lol

Father's Day Hot Air Balloons
How about a couple of Father's Day cards? One for my dad, and one for the hub's dad. I covered a white card base with blueprint paper (why? blueprints have nothing to do with hot air balloons, but I liked the color, and it seemed manly, that's why!) I added a strip of brown patterned paper and multi-striped paper. A bright green cardstock was embossed and backed with white cardstock. I cut out a blue scallop circle and backed it with white, topping it with the hot air balloon stickers and clouds. I embossed a strip of brown patterned cardstock with a ruler design and added a tag that reads Happy Father's Day. I loved the hot air balloon stickers. I had to buy them and I'm glad I got to use them for the dads cards.

Whooo Whooo is Graduating?
Whooo-Whooo thinks this is just the cutest graduation card? I do! lol I made this graduation card for a friend of ours graduating high school. I added patterned paper to the inside of the black shaped card. The outside is comprised of a gold border sticker, star string banner, cupcake topper (stirrer with topper slid onto it), stack of book stickers, owl sticker pop dotted for a 3D effect, and the congrats sticker. I added a line of congrats washi tape to the inside bottom too. All supplies are Doodlebug Designs. That owl is so stinkin' cute! (True Facts About the Owl - check it out on YouTube, it's hilarious).

Best Friend Birthday
Birthday card for my best friend. Started with forest green cardstock, topped with red patterned paper. An intricate white frame cut on the Cricut is backed with blue "denim" paper. I cut several banner strips from patterned paper and embossed them. The flower has paper and tulle layers topped with the sentiment. I border punched the banner from green cardstock and Stickle'd the points. I finished it off by adding metal iCandy to the corners of the frame.

Mother's Day Card
I made this for Mother's Day and sent it to my mom. I think the papers are Teresa Collins. I could be wrong though. I embossed a white card base with an Anna Griffin embossing folder, added tiny pearls and embroidery floss bows to the banner, pearls to the butterfly and bent the wings up. Sometimes I forget less is more.

Birthday Deer
What a deer card! lol I made this for my dad's birthday. He went hunting last year and bagged a buck, so it was a triumphant day. Not that I want him to go shooting deer in the woods, but he hadn't gone in eons, so I can't be upset. The buck die cut and the birch branch paper totally reminded me of that, so I had to use them to make his card. I used a shimmery blue cardstock covered with a chevron patterned paper. The June paper was cut from a sheet that had all the months. The corner die cut is Anna Griffin. I punched the leaves from brown cardstock and added tiny wooden buttons. Happy birthday, dad.

April Showers Bring Mimosas!
How fun is this "mocktail" party we threw for a co-worker? I decorated her office in a spring garden theme. April showers bring...Mimosas! I cut up fresh fruit and brought in several juices, and sparking white grape juice for the champagne. We had champagne glasses with paper straws, fresh flowers, and a cake. I even made the April showers hanging from the ceiling: paper clouds with silver "rain".
