Sunny Days Ahead

Here is my design for this week's challenge at Bitten By The Bug2. The challenge was to use the "sunny days" cut from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge.  Well, that was kind of a challenge seeing as I don't own that cartridge. But since we are allowed to "improvise" I cut both words from the Just Because Cards cartridge.  Albeit, they were two different cuts at two different sizes that I made to look like they go together.  I started with a white card base though you can't see it here.  I covered it with a half border punched red cardstock square, letting the border extend past the card base, and a blue glittered flower paper for the background.  I backed the vintage Graphic 45 image with red cardstock and attached it at an angle. I cut some yellow mesh and attached it to the bottom of the card with polka dot brads.  I cut out the phrase in black cardstock and Stickled the edges. I attached them with foam dots.  I added letter stickers over the mesh, and a few paper leaves and flowers to the corner of the image.  I folded a pearlescent strip of patterned yellow paper into a florette to mimic the sun and stuck a fancy brad into the center.  Finally, I dotted the strawberries with Stickles too.  Go check out the other designs at BBTB2.  Those girls rock!

Miles of Smiles,
