Patriotic Rosette "Wreath"

Hello! Happy Monday! I've been crazy busy here in Florida lately. Summer hours at work give me longer weekends, but we fill 'em up with all sorts of fun stuff!  I love summer! Hard to believe it's nearly July! Speaking of July and the eagerly anticipated 4th of July, this week's challenge at BBTB2 is to create a patriotic project. I made a wreath, of sorts to hang on our interior door. I created the wreath from the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge using "nontraditional" reds and blues.  I didn't want my design to be stereotypically red/white/blue. I chose more muted and patterned shades for this project. I liked the result. This was a fairly simple project: create the rosette, thread lace through the holes, add metal stickers to the tips, Stickle the top creases, add USA letters dotted with Stickles to the top of the rosette, and finally a ribbon hangar attached to the back. I think it might be fun to create a bunch of these and hang them in a group in front of a window.  Go check out the other AMAZING designs at BBTB2!
 Miles of Smiles,

Great project, Melissa. I've had the worst luck making those rosettes. I can never get mine to stay together. I've used every adhesive in my arsenal and they always pull apart. Love your muted colors you used.

I love the rosettes on Ribbons & Rosettes, but had not thought to create a door wreath.... Great idea! I like the muted R,W,& B colors; your USA pops off of that background. Great use of lace too!!!
